Colette Richardson (1969 - 2006), died at age 36 years

ICYMI: Colette Richardson, age 36, of New York, NY, passed away on October 23, 2006. She was born on December 26, 1969, in New York City. Colette was diagnosed with colon cancer on January 8, 2002, and fought a courageous battle until her passing. She was a loving wife to George Richardson and a devoted mother to her children, Georgia and Mateo. Tragically, both Georgia and Mateo also passed away in the same year.Colette was an accomplished actress, having worked in film, stage, and television from 1974 to 2006. She had a passion for acting and music, which she enjoyed as hobbies. Colette will be remembered for her talent and dedication to her craft.She is survived by her family and friends, and preceded in death by her parents. Colette's memorial and cremation service, along with the service for her husband and children, will take place on October 27, 2006, at Greenwich Village Funeral Home Inc. A special dedication to Colette, George, and the children will also be held during the filming of the beginning of the TV special "Bananas in Pajamas" on October 22, 2005, in Times Square. Colette's niece Julia and her family will gather for a reunion, participating in interviews and honoring their beloved family members. The "Bananas in Pajamas" special, titled "Bumping and a-Jumping," will be released on December 21, 2006, on NBC and PBS Kids.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the foundation Colette founded in 1999.
